Make sure the box next to "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" is unchecked Set the "Sleep Sliders" to Never (Computer Sleep) and Never (Display Sleep) Click on Energy Saver (in the Hardware section) Open System Preferences (Located in Apple Menu, Dock, or Applications Folder) I have also been to the general toubleshooting thread and have followed all of the following: I did some investigating and found out I needed to update to 6.9.2 so I could use the new operating system.Īfter doing so nothing seems to have changed and I still get the "session must be on an audio record volume" business. I tried selecting every volume I had, to no avail. After installation, I tried opening a new session and encountered a "session must be on an audio record volume" message. My issue is that I just got a new MACBOOK intel laptop for the purposes of mobil pro-tools use (my old computer was an iMac G4 that had the dome and the moveable flat-pannel) and installed my old pro-tools (6.9) disc on the new laptop. As you can tell, I'm new to the forum, but I am a well versed pro-tools user.
